Volunteers in Policing

The City of Weed recognizes the vast resources of experience and skills that rest within the citizens of our City and the surrounding communities. Our Police Department desires to utilize these skills to help us achieve our departmental goals in an effective and cost efficient manner. We are a community oriented police department and with a partnership between the community and the Weed Police Department, we can both help serve and protect the community we treasure.

The main purpose of V.I.P. is to provide excellent service to the residents of the City of Weed. V.I.P. members are the eyes and ears of the Police Department, as well as representatives of the city and the Police Department. It is pertinent and members maintain an image of professionalism, which parallels the professionalism of our department at all times. Appearance, demeanor and performance must never be compromised while serving the V.I.P.
